The Chef and the Dietitian - Episode 8 - Dream of Tomato Soup

A creamy, spicy, and pungent soup you can throw together in your blender in less than 5 minutes. Great way to warm up on a cold day while boosting your antioxidant levels to help enhance your immune system. Heated tomatoes are filled with lycopene and lutein, two carotenoids that are known to prevent prostate cancer and macular degeneration, among other things. So blend away and enjoy while doing your body good!

Nice to see a fun, high-energy show about plant foods!

Limes come in seeded and seedless varieties.
They are still a fruit either way.

Tomatoes and bell peppers are fruits in a botanical context, but they are considered vegetables in a culinary context because we use them more like vegetables in the kitchen.

It creates confusion when we mix botanical and culinary definitions.

It makes the most sense and brings the greatest clarity when chefs refer only to culinary definitions when categorizing produce as either fruits or vegetables.

Hi!

I'm wondering what kind of blender you are using?
Looking everywhere for it!

Bye bye.

Looks sooo creamy and lovely!

I am wondering if I could serve this to my 18 month old girl. Would it be a no-no with the hemp seed? What do you recommend?
